School Band to Perform at Turning on of Xmas Lights

 

Dear Parents,

 

On Sunday 4th December we will have our Annual Towns lighting of the Christmas tree. This is a great event and is looked forward to each year by all of the local community.   Our school band has been asked to perform once again this year. This is a very exciting event for all the boys and they have been working hard to prepare for their performance. For some of our boys this will be the first time they will play with the school band, and we are delighted to welcome all of our new members on board.

 

We ask that all boys will meet in the school at 4.30pm on Sunday in full uniform, for a quick rehearsal and then we will walk down to the square together for the performance. The event  will commence at 5pm with the lights being switched on at 5.30pm. When it finishes we would ask that you do not take your child home without informing myself or another adult involved with the band for safety reasons.

 

As our band is growing bigger each year we are hoping to form a parents committee that can help out with different occasions throughout the year, with outings, fundraising etc. We would really appreciate your support and ask that if you would be interested to send a note in to school to let us know.
