Science week in 1B

Last week the kids got to grips with the theme of light for Science week.

We learned about how light is made up of a spectrum of different colours and experimented with a prism to see if this was true. Below you can see the boys holding the prism up to the light and looking for the many different colours shining through.

 

We also made our musical instruments which was great fun! We used lots of things like rice, seeds and pasta to make different sounds and experiment with loud sounds and soft sounds. It was a very fun (and noisy) afternoon! 🙂
