We have come to the end of another fantastic school year. I’d like to thank all the parents & guardians for all their support and help during the year. We bid farewell to our 6th class boys & we wish them all the best in secondary school. A special word of thanks to all the staff, Parent’s Council and Board of Management, your generosity and time is invaluable to the running of the school.

CONFIRMATION, FIRST COMMUNION & CHOIR
Congratulations to the boys from 6th class and 2nd class that made their Confirmation and 1stHoly Communion recently. Well done to our school choir that performed so well on these days.
Presentation of trophies and medals will be held on Wednesday, June 21st at 11am. These prestigious prizes are not alone for sport but also attendance and academic achievements.
Parents are most welcome to attend.
The school badminton club recently held their in-house school competition to conclude their lessons. Congratulations to the winners:
Singles: Oisín Hannigam Doubles: Óisín Hannigan and Linards Misins.
Our school basketball team recently competed in a league in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. They came in 2nd place on the day. A wonderful achievement!
Congratulations to the school chess teams. In a recent competition team A came 1st and team B came 2nd in the novice league.
3rd & 4th class team came in 3rd place in the All Ireland indoor athletics championships.
Thank you to all the families in the community that supported our recent fundraising walk. We raised €2,457 and this money goes straight towards an astro turf pitch for our new school. There will also be another walk on Thursday 14th as the last walk was such a great success. There is no cost on this walk but any donation on the day would be greatly appreciated.
HOT DOG & ICE CREAM DAY
Hot Dog & Ice cream Day will take place on Friday 15th The money raised will go towards Down’s Syndrome Ireland and the school sport’s funds. The cost is €5. There is no need to bring a lunch on this day.

We recently held an open afternoon for our incoming 1st class boys to show them around the school and introduce them to their teachers
The school has been busy this term with school tours. The Ark had great fun in Jumping Jacks and Burger King, 1st class travelled to Lullymore, 2nd class went to Funtasia, 3rd class to Causey Farm in Meath, 4th class to the Hudson Bay for water sports, 5th class went to Tayto Park and 6th made their annual visit to Lilliput. Great days were had by all!
Our school had two wonderful days in Gracefield this year. It was great to see so many parents and children enjoying themselves at a school activity.
62 boys from 6th class will graduate on Monday 18th June. Both the service & refreshments will be held in the Community Centre at 7pm. Best of luck in the future boys.
The school fees and book rental can be paid at the school from Monday, August 20th – Tuesday August 28th during school hours. And online as from Thursday 14th June.
FAI 5ASIDE SOCCER
The 5-A-Side soccer team were runners up in the Mid-Leinster tournament having won the Offaly section.
2nd – 5th classes inclusively completed 6 weeks of swimming lessons this term.
Well done to the school hurling team. They are Offaly Cumann na mBunscol Champions! They were victorious over Rahan in the recent final in O’Connor Park.

We ask the boys from 6th class to drop in their old school uniforms to the school for us to have on reserve. If your child has a uniform too small for them we will accept these also. Please ensure these uniforms are washed, ironed and in good condition.
The school holidays will commence on Friday, June 22nd at 12 noon and the school will re-open on Wednesday, August 29th. A full copy of next year’s calendar has been included with your son’s report and booklist
